ACC To Become Division II Conference

Following Clemson’s dominating win over 16th ranked North Carolina State in football on October 20th, the NCAA made an unprecedented move by demoting one of the “Power Five” conferences from the status of Division I to Division II.

“That win showed that Clemson is the only good team in the ACC, and we don’t even know how good they are because the other teams in the ACC absolutely suck,” said NCAA president Mark Emmert. “We decided it was time to take action.”

The decision was met with shock and skeptical approval from the college football community. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey commented on the matter saying, “We had been joking about kicking them out for months, not that I didn’t think it shouldn’t happen. I don’t think the NCAA understood that we were kidding, so I was a bit surprised when I found out. I really hope they knew we didn’t really want to let UCF into the playoffs this year.”

PAC-12 Commissioner Larry Scott was visibly disturbed by the situation, saying, “I mean, if they took out the ACC it’s only a matter of time before we’re gone too. No, they wouldn’t do that, right? Maybe not. Maybe if we kick out Cal we can stay D1. I hope so. Man oh man what are we going to do?”

At press time, Clemson’s Head Coach Dabo Swinney could be seen clutching onto wide receiver Hunter Renfrow.
